The Essential 9" Mattress by Obasan is customizable for all types of sleepers. It accommodates all sleeping positions beautifully, and delivers exceptional comfort for side and back sleepers.

The Essential 9" Mattress is handcrafted in Canada using the highest quality, breathable, 100% certified organic materials which delivers a comfortable, dry and cool sleep. It comes with a 100% organic cotton knit cover.

The Obasan Adjustable Core System provides highly flexible support layers. The middle layer can be customized in firm or medium densities for each sleeper based on their weight and firmness preferences. The mattress comes with a built-in topper for immediate contouring and pressure relief, which can be ordered as a medium or soft layer, depending on your weight and comfort preference.

Obasan does not use harmful fire retardant chemicals. Instead, they use organic wool, which is an all-natural fire barrier, that is quilted into an organic cotton cover.

I love absolutely everything I own from Resthouse. I have three pillows, one contoured latex, one shredded latex and one Kapok. Also I have a body pillow, cotton mattress cover and Cotton Percale duvet cover. The best item is my Obasan Organic Latex mattress. I have a hard time staying comfortable at night and I can not believe the difference in how I feel sleeping on this fantastic mattress. I love everything that they sell at Resthouse and plan to continually add more items as my budget allows. Thank you Resthouse !!!

With a long awaited move to a new home we finally took the opportunity to purchase a new bed. We stopped in to the showroom on a Saturday and Chris took all the time we needed to find out our sleep preferences and help us try out several different beds to find the perfect one for us. The delivery and set up was flawless and we had to just admire our bed for a week before during the move before we were actually living and sleeping in the house. We have now had 5 nights of very comfortable sleep on our new mattress and definitely find it to be a more restful night with less tossing, turning and waking. Thanks Chris!

Finally! A good night’s sleep!

My husband and I had struggled through a couple of years on a too-soft mattress hastily purchased. Chris and Charlene were terrific in helping us choose the right replacement. They encouraged us to take our time and went out of their way to make sure we ended up with the best product. Everything from the greeting to the final delivery was professional and friendly.
