Functional Beauty

The Nuve is a minimalist platform design by Alternative Woodworks, and with its clean lines, it is simplicity at its best. Without ridges, the mattress almost floats on top of the base, so it's perfect for those with a futon or want a frame that makes it easy to slide the sheets into place, without having to lift and tuck. This model fits tightly against the wall, which is ideal for smaller rooms where every inch counts.

David Martinello uses locally sourced Western Maple to hand-make each of his frames. They are finished with a water-based, environmentally friendly acrylic lacquer. The slats are pre-assembled into four sections for easy placement, and the male-female brackets make the frame simple to assemble and built to last.

We charge one $199 shipping fee per order for all platform or furniture orders requiring shipment within Canada. Additional shipping fees may apply for shipments to more remote locations.

I bought a queen-size "Nuve" Western Maple Platform Bed Frame from Resthouse Sleep Solutions last August. I could not be happier with my purchase. The bed frame made by Alternative Woodworks is absolutely beautiful in its simplicity and clean lines, and feels wonderful to touch.
